The venue is the heart and soul of sobo and represents our community well. It’s lovely to have such an original venue in our community rather then a bog stock standard venue.

The sense of belonging - whether it was dancing in the sunshine , or sitting having a coffee! It’s such a special place. I was so looking forward to attending the wellness events, sketchbook clubs and parent groups. It’s not often a venue offers all of this, but of course Sobo Beach is much more than a site, it’s a community! The loss will be huge.

It is a unique place within our Southbourne community for the locals and tourists. Very hard to replace the atmosphere and vibe by some other company. Great staff too.

It’s transformed this part of the beach into a community led, entertaining hub. I take part in yoga here on the beach, and pop in for coffee during beach walks. When friends visit it’s a great spot to take them for a drink and watch the world go by. Hoping BCP doesn’t kick the team out in favour of bringing their friends in to make money for themselves on the back of Soho’s hard work.

My friends and I are regular visitors of Sobo all year around with living only 15 minutes down the road. It is a quiet and local escape from the busier and more hectic Bournemouth and Boscombe. Coming down in summer evening for a portion of garlic and Parmesan chips and a pint it a main part of our routine.

I paddleboard in the area and use SOBO for refreshments. It’s one of the main reasons I visit that area of coastline.

I take the kids to the beach here all the time as it offers a great place to break from the beach for food, drinks, ice cream etc. I also love coming to SoBo without the the kids to the events they do like Sunday sessions. It’s holds so many memories for the kids as we bring them here each year after the final day of school which is always night of the year. I’m sure it could be replaced with another bar or restaurant but I’m not sure you could replace the community feel SoBo has created

Sobo…… It’s a community hub, for chats, coffee, good vibes, great staff! Visit weekly after walking… a perfect pit stop! Please don’t let this brilliantly run venue on the beach close it’s so loved & enjoyed by whoever pops by!
