I've been to silent discos, shared hot drinks after swimming with friends and even had a birthday party on the top deck of the bus. We love SOBO and it is at the heart of the community and is a place to share with friends!

SOBO Beach cafe is unique. No matter what time of day it has a truly welcoming vibe, unlike any other beach cafe I have ever come across. The staff and service are great and there is always a happy buzz about the place. You can tell that so many people just enjoy being there.There are far too many beachside cafes that are too formal and lack the atmosphere of SOBO. It matters as it is one of our favourite seaside destinations and such successful uniqueness enjoyed by so many must not be lost.

It really is a central point for many aspects of the local community to come together for many activities. It is the lack of community feeling that has caused so many problems in our society today. Do not just leave the site empty. It would be such an out of touch decision for the Council to make.

SOBO Beach has established a genuine beach-based community serving multiple varied groups and active users in an area of the beachfront that was used very much less before its arrival. To lose it now would be a tragic and quite unnecessary loss to the whole Southbourne beach way of life.

Sobo is my local beach and I go dog walking there frequently. Sobo beach provides a place to meet friends , which is affordable and its atmosphere is truly unique. When friends come to stay with us we always go there.
