  • SOBO beach provides more than just a place to stop for a coffee. It offers help and support within the local community for those that are vulnerable and organisations assisting those that are in need. Ultimately you have a venue that is well run and has given a lot of joy and pleasure to many. What's not to like?

  • I run past there most weekends and stop for a coffee. It's the very essence of what Southbourne and the wider BCP area needs - it's a self sufficient, vibrant little community and has been an overwhelming success. Removing SOBO Beach at this stage rips the heart out of the beachfront community in Southbourne.

  • Sobo is such a relaxed, unique and welcoming space. We don’t want another pretentious sit down restaurant. Sobo have worked so hard to build a community and do so much for local groups. It’s a venue to be proud of and we want it to stay.

  • This place is one of the few things along the coast of Bournemouth we should be proud of and we should be replicating the model to breathe positive life back into the area, not closing it!!! It promotes fun, family values, great healthy food, community, ecology and wellness. For god’s sake BCP council, make the right decision for once!!

  • This is the best beach community I have seen anywhere in the UK. The atmosphere is so connecting. So many diversity of individuals. All coming together in harmony. Its more about connecting others than just another normal restaurant for just money.
