It is a welcoming establishment, which attracts the community and visitors of all ages, walks of life and is a lifeline for many because of who they are. The staff welcome you w a smile and Sobo Beach is know, loved & respected. This venue is known for hosting different events, from beach litter collecting, yoga, art classes to social or just a coffee and smile for a lonely dog walker, group of swimmers & much more. It really is the heart of the community which no other venue in BCP offers

Why change something that works so well for maybe a few pounds more for the council who waste so much on stupid projects…ie digging up Poole Park! Highly likely that the new owners will not be as popular and family friendly. Council is changing a much loved and PROVEN system for little if any gain. I thought the council was supposed to represent the residents views!,,,

I often swim near Sobo beach and go to warm up with a coffee or hot chocolate. I also take my children here as it provides a safe and fun place for everyone to get together. We have engaged with the silent discos and baby events too. It would be a shame to lose it, it means a lot to our community.

A Perfect place at the beach where people of all ages relax, meet friends and meet after excercise , reflecting our community. I personally swim, run and meet friends here. Sobo is welcoming fun , relaxing and offers good quality produce. It is relaxed to enter with sandy feet, dogs and have a dance. It is the perfect beach venue .

Because it is unpretentious, family friendly and fun for all even us oldies. It has taken hard work to make it so special and would be a real miss for the beach if it goes.

We use it regularly, as a family we all love going there, it’s the only beach cafe we use and can’t imagine southboune beach without it, it’s a community loved business . We need to save it .

The owners of SOBO have created a unique venue that brings together not just the local community but a wider customer base that attracts people to Bournemouth. BCP could learn a lot from this style of business practice but unfortunately BCP senior management are not commercially educated evident by the sad demise of BCP high streets.
