  • Brings the vibe during the summer months, and warmth in the winter months! Turns a walk along the beach into a place to meet friends and family, informal, impromptu perfection.

  • They have created something special from nothing. Its of social and commercial value. It seems illogical to terminate for purely commercial reasons. What is local government for if not for communities?

  • It is a place to meet friends, before and after a dip, living their extra activities at the weekend and it always oozes love and community.

  • I love it because I always stop there on my morning walk and it is so friendly and welcoming. The previous people who were there were awful so we are so lucky now with Sobo Beach.

  • I visit every year with friends and would be gutted if SOBO closed. Such a great community asset x

  • It’s so unique and well managed

  • It’s one of the better beach cafes/restaurants and does not charge a fortune. Unless there bid is really low they should be allowed to renew. If you go for the highest bid it will just be another restaurant that a family can not afford to eat in.

  • Often walk on that parade. Pop into Sobo for coffee or Zero beer. Has a feel good factor that might be lost and might not be replicated by the next “mystery” operators. Kiddies who work there do a fine job. What are the councils parameters and terms of regerence??!

  • I go here very often in the summer and it is a great place as we all know Boscome is a dump and this is the only nice place in that area

  • Great place on the beach love to walk the dog and stop off and have a coffee & the best doggy donuts and great place to meet friends & family

  • It’s a brilliant place for local people all year round, they have the right vibe, interested in the community, they hold various craft courses. We should have more of these along the promenade, run by individuals and not the council.
