I oppose BCP Council’s plans to replace the existing operators at SOBO Beach, Southbourne. SOBO Beach is far more than a café and bar. It’s a vital community hub that brings people together through yoga, wellbeing activities, art classes, sea swimming, charity fundraising and support for veterans, men’s mental health groups, SEND families and mothers. The existing operators have spent years building a welcoming, inclusive venue that supports physical and mental health.

Sobo Beach is such a great place for the community...I go to their DJ and other music events quite regularly, and there is loads more that goes on.

It gets a community together and helps with health & wellness. I visit a few times a year. It is lovely to see children play ,people out walking their dogs and stopping for a coffee & families and friends out socialising together come rain or shine.
