We visit our son who lives local and visit Sobo Beach at least once often more during anyone visit. This is a great local meeting place with good atmosphere, friendly staff and good food and drink. It has a local feel and not a corporate vibe which can be had at a number of points along the beaches.

I walk our dog and she loves to sit on the beach with me enjoying either coffee or lunch, the offering is cool, fun and we have met many friends because of the vibe sobo has created over the years. Taking this away seems absolutely absurd.

Sobo Beach is an integral part of life in Southbourne. When the Sunday Times wrote an article about the best seaside resorts in the UK it wasn't Bournemouth that was recognised. It wasn't even Southbourne. It was Sobo Beach...recognised as a real gem. If this brilliant independent trader is replaced by a national brand it will be a monumental disaster for the area.

It's such a fantastic, family-friendly venue. I go often with my daughter, get a coffee and some marshmallows. Lovely, relaxed vibe. I'd say it's become a pretty important part of the local community.

It is a great local place to visit ALL YEAR round. It supports so many people of all ages with a variety of activities. It has purpose. Community spirit. The music afternoons and nights are fun. Friends visit regularly to attend the music soul afternoons, this brings more trade to the area because they stay in the hotels and visit coffee shops and restaurants. There is nothing like this, with great accessibility, right on the beach with a beautiful view and vibe that ticks so many boxes.
