  • We have a flat nearby and enjoy going to SOBO for coffee and tea

  • It's a unique and special place location to spend time in a wonderful location, whether that's on your own or with friends and family. The decision should be based on what residents would like too and not just be a financial decision. We should be listened to and not have a important decision made by a handful of people.

  • It’s the heart of southbourne, the heart of the people who live here, not just tourists!!!

  • It’s its own independent character, and the place is for all people of different backgrounds. Run by local people FOR local people and visitors. We don’t want global companies gobbling up local people’s way of life to make big profit. Enough of that has ruined Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch over the years. Take the price of parking along our beaches. It’s a community for everyone. Leave us all alone. It’s helped so many people. We all love it as it is. Not many character places left in BCP

  • I attend weekly art sessions at Sobo beach. I lost my wife last December and doing those sessions at Sobo Beach with the beautiful seaview and the sound of the waves has helped me to deal with her loss. It has definitely been good for my mental well-being and the coffee is great too!

  • I joined Sisters of Stone when I was in a bad place in my life and they meet at SOBO beach a lot and now I'm happy and have made the best friends anyone could ever ask for. Losing SOBO will mean less hang out spots for us girls who just wanna make new friends

  • I am a dog walker and cold water swimmer. we have our community group swim from Sobo twice a week. She of the ladies are elderly and we are their only contact to the outside world. also in summer it is a wonderful destination, where locals meet up.

  • I live locally, walk my dog and go for coffee here. My daughter loves dancing here and a baby chino also playing outside it’s so family friendly. I also attend Jenny Tarr’s sketchbook club which has helped me creatively but also through a really tough period in my life. Local Community here is strong and supported. Would hate to see it go.

  • Perfect place for coffee or wine on my favourite beach when walking my dog - will be a big loss to the community if it closes
