Sobo is a unique and vital heart of our community. Life is hard enough for us all, but you take away what little is left from a modern and loved place we were proud of. We came together, laughed and make wonderful memories. Th is a tragedy and will go down in Bournemouth history as the very worst decision ever made. Bournemouth councillors I say this. You let this happen under your watch. The death of what’s left of our community love and spirit. This will be your legacy. Shame on you.

They were amazing in the summer when we had a birthday party there. The staff were friendly, efficient and genuinely lovely. They also supported the Sobo 5 run in July!

Sobo beach is the epicentre of the community, Southbourne should and is very proud of it, it’s unique, it’s incredible and it can’t be lost to another soulless bar/restaurant. These are hard economic times with 1 in 5 hospitality business not surviving, a loyal customer base who treat Sobo beach as something to treasure are worth their weight in gold in these times. Whatever replaces it won’t have that!

Sobo beach is one of the best venues in Southbourne. Its relaxed atmosphere and vibrant events have brought thousands of residents over the last few years. An outstanding venue which the public clearly love. It is my favourite place for events .

I relax here with my partner on a Sunday with a coffee and watch the waves. I take my son here. We watch the sunset with a hot chocolate here. I like the Yoga classes they do. Sobo beach is part of our community in Southbourne and taking it away would leave a massive hole in bringing our community together, connecting people and just generally being a lovely place to stop with family and friends.
