Why cease and change a very popular venue just for the sake of it l am aware the Council has a duty to seek alternative proposals, but the current owners should be given priority for the past excellent service). The current design and construction is perfectly in keeping with the beach and surrounding area. I would agree the site needs some refurbishment, but this would be rectified by extending the current lease for a long period. The Council should listen very carefully.

I swim there every weekend. The facility is excellent, a huge asset for the area and I applaud you for creating a thriving business that underpins this community. Irreplaceable - please don’t!!

Socialise, dance, eat great food, my kids have grown up playing on the beach, enjoying their fab ice creams and milkshakes. This is the best place in Sobo and the whole community will be heartbroken if it goes. We gather there with family and friends regularly and they always have so much going on from yoga, sea swims, craft groups, discos and so much more. Do not take this lifeline away from us please 🙏🏻

Me and my family from various locations meet here to swim and get warm in the caffe after cold weather dips. There is nowhere like it. We like the camaraderie and crowds of dog walkers swimmers walkers all sorts of people…and warm croissants! It’s a super important place for people.
