  • It feels like home. The staff say "Hi" and recognise me. I feel safe there, I sometimes go on my own, on a Sunday, for. a dance. It doesn't feel weird. I love going there on an early morning and grabbing a coffee. It's informal yet stylish. It's my community and the best thing to hit the coast for many years. We don't want another Rockwater thank you, We want what we arleady have SOBO BEACH!

  • Rain, cold or sunshine it is the place we go when going to the beach. Ice creams, hot food and drinks it’s what makes Southbourne beach! We have a beach hut down there and we always go to Sobo when down there, we love the vibe and the energy!

  • SOBO is a wonderful and vital part of the community. We love visiting it when we are staying in Bournemouth which we do regularly. It would be a great sadness if it were to close.

  • We hang out on this stretch of beach with friends, my 6 year old son has grown up exploring Southbourne beach and visiting Sobo. It has an awesome vibe and looks great positioned where it is. A huge improvement on the rest of the chain restaurants and bars you see all the way down the beach to Poole! Southbourne beach will truly not be the same without Sobo Beach!

  • Sobo Beach matters to me because it's what makes Southbourne feel like a community rather than just a postcode. It has a welcoming, local vibe, and it's become a hub for small businesses that bring something real to the seafront. Beach Pilates is a personal favourite, and it only works because independent operators and Sobo have been able to collaborate. Just as important, its prices aren’t overpriced like rock water.   • Its a community based event, BCP are turning the town into the ground, taking all the nice areas away from the community! Its a place on the beach for all ages, children, dogs, family day out. Its one of the only places left on the beach with soul and substance.
