Lovely beach and Sobo beach is the best. I run a lot at this area and in winter it’s my place to stop, have some water and enjoy he community.

My teenage daughters and I visit family in Christchurch frequently and love coming to SOBO Beach in Southbourne, it has so much character, a really community and welcoming feel and is always hugely popular with locals and visitors alike. I think it would be a huge shame for it to be replaced with something soulless - particularly of it means months of having no amenities between the current lease expiring. The council must be able to do something

Beach swims ,dog walks and early morning coffees, friendliness of the people, the space that it creates and offers for so many different, diverse community groups. The heart of SOBO and its residents ALL year round , evening sunsets and joy of the summer nights, winter morningthe wellness centre for all, the family orientated feelings and inclusive community that this place, incredible people have built. It doesnt need more money or income. What we already have, that matters.

Sobo Beach is a hub of Southbourne and the surrounding areas bringing the community together in so many ways. I met my partner at the Sunday Sessions as so many other couples have done. It will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will be devasted to see it taken over by anyone than the current lease holders.
