  • It's important for community cohesion and helps to reduce loneliness and isolation for local people.

  • I was brought up nr Hengistbury Head abd bever strayed further than Branksome. I know the local vibe. This is the best thing that has ever happened to that part of the seafront,

  • I attend community events there. Since retiring, contact with others in friendly relaxed setting and learning new skills is very important to me.

  • its half way round my 35 mile cycling route that I use all year round (except July and august when no cycling is allowed) and is where I always stop for coffee and cake. its more than just a big business coffee shop. it gives so much more back to the community. we need more community focused places NOT less...

  • It is the heart of a lot of communities! We also dont want to look at a covered up building site like it is on Sandbanks FOR THREE BLOODY YEARS!

  • It’s all about the community that they have created, so sad to see that destroyed and be left with an empty building site for at least the next year probably two 😢

  • I love the relaxed casual beach vibe and look. I’m not interested in an expensive cafe or boxy typical cafe like we alteady have up and down the seafront which I’m not motivated to go in because it’s typical and boring without character

  • A great place to pop in for a coffee and cake when the family visits - the children love the bus! Friendly and efficient and very popular. World love to keep it as it is - just right for Southbourne. We are not Bournemouth...

  • We often visit Sobo Beach. Love the cafe/restaurant. Super atmoshpere and community feeling. Great ambience, different, unique. Such a feature of the area. It would be a crime to lose it.

  • It brings life to the prom! It's managed to hit the spot and be good for young, old, whoever. It is well known far and wide and would be a loss to the area if it went and were replaced by a stuffy old place without such wide appeal.

  • It’s a beautiful community place. I live a three minute walk away and I love seeing how many people get to enjoy SOBO

  • I've built many great friendships with many people I've met at Sobo events, especially at the many events and groups at their venue. It's such an inclusive, relaxed atmosphere there accepting people for who they are without judgement. The place is so unique in this area that it has received national newspaper coverage, which is great for the local economy, not just Sobo. How many places do we have locally that receive that kind of publicity for the area.

  • It's a great place to go for coffee and food with such a good vibe and chilled atmosphere. Lots of hard work has been put in to the venue and would like to see it stay with continued success. Was there just yesterday 11 Oct.
