  • It is an amazing venue totally in keeping with the Southbourne vibe and populace. I love the chilled atmosphere, the food and drinks available are delicious and cater to everyone, the Sunday sessions are brilliant and it is just a wonderful place to go whether on your own, with family or with friends

  • SOBO genuinely cares about the community around it. They are not simply running a business; they have created a place where people feel welcome, connected and supported. They provide space for swimmers, families, veterans, SEND groups, men's mental health support, mums' groups and many others. They also give back to the community through fundraising for causes such as Sleep Out to Help Out, Southbourne Foodbank, Southbourne Surf Lifesaving Club and Dorset Mind.

  • The staff and owners have made it a lovely spot, the effort they have put into this spot should be strongly considered when making the decision, including being open all winter, all the time, ( i would guess if you hired a PR firm etc to do the job they have done it would easily cost many 10s of thousands of pounds).

  • I visit regularly with friends and family. It’s a lovely, family friendly venue for all sorts of celebrations. We don’t want a repeat of Bournemouth, I feel safe at Sobo, unlike Bournemouth. Leave it alone BCP.

  • I run tegarly and this is my stop point to meet a friend before coming home. I’ve also done the silent disco with my two teenage daughters which is lovely. It’s great for the community and nice to actually have a lovely cafe on the beach as there are so few along the promenade.

  • Ive had the best summer dancing and eating and drinking here. The staff are brilliant and it has real community spirit dont lose this place.
