The current tenants have done amazing things with the venue with limited help from the Council, they have built a community & they should be allowed to take it to the next level, not leave the site empty whilst someone gets planning on it.

As a local I use & Sobo because it offers something for everyone of all ages all yr round not just the holiday season, which is very important to people who in this area. Their prices aren't extortionate like some places so as a pensioner living only on state pension, I can afford to buy one of the amazing coffee's & enjoy the beach & scenery. Love this place. I would be so angry to see the amazing place go.

SOBO Beach is iconic, we love it so much that we had our post wedding drinks there in 2025. I would urge the councillors to make the right decision and make sure this icon is preserved.

My family use it all year round... safer and nicer than boscombe and bournemouth areas... if lease isn't renewed, the place will stay empty for 2yrs min, until council get their acts together.... why get rid of a thriving buisness wanted and used by locals

I use it with my family all year round, the seafront's best spot to get people out in hte open, engaging with the local area. There are far too few places like this along our sea front. The idea of losing one of the few we have is disgusting.

It is THE best community space as well as THE best cafe/bar/restaurant. Such a happy, inclusive, friendly vibe with great music. We recently met family there for my daughter’s 14th b/d and there was no problem with us bringing a birthday cake - so welcoming and friendly and just the sight of it makes you happy with so many great places to sit - it is completely unique and is part of the community! Sobo would not be the amazing place it is without SOBO Beach. I would boycott any other venture.

WE SPEND MOST WEEKENDS OUTSIDE OF THE SUMMER down on the coast SOBO beach is great for a drink and some food, this also attracts us to the high sreet.

We love walking along the promenade down to Sobo Beach for a coffee all year round. It has an amazing community atmosphere, is always busy and friendly and strikes a great balance in Southbourne. The events it puts on are fantastic, interesting and inclusive and it is a wonderful place to enjoy a good time with friends. I would be so sad for it to go.

I walk along Southbourne beach every day and it's lovely to see so much life/enjoyment coming from SOBO Beach. It feels unique and doesn't feel like a faceless chain restaurant or bar.
