Its has a fun and exciting atmosphere with a casual welcoming vibe.. i walk Mudeford spit regularly and then make my way to SOBO for a drink and snack before going home. I was hoping to attend some of their music events. I would hate to see it go.

It is a thriving community for all ages and genders and the current owners have worked tirelessly to achieve this. More locations should be made available if others feel the need to create something as equally special as there is plenty of room along the beach coastline without closing this unique and special place for so many. This has happened to far too many great locations over the years and now look at Bournemouth with all the empty hospitality and entertainment venues that are derelict!.

Sobo beach has created and maintained a very committed community that swim, run and bring their children for family activities. I swim , walk and meet local residents here. I have noticed that all ages and generations feel comfortable at Sobo. Everyone feels welcome. Sobo encourages outdoor activities from its beach front , such as silent disco or yoga. It is a great asset to the local community.

Sobo is a fantastic local hub which is the centre of so much good community action and social events, it’s been the best thing to happen to southbourne beach. This business not only boosts the local economy by bringing in a lot of money, as well as creating jobs for locals and is also a hotspot for good causes when fundraising for events. As a local who grew up in Southbourne, I used to work here, and feel so sad for the staff who are going to lose their jobs at the hands of the council!🤬

I run regularly in & SOBO with family & friends & always pop in for a coffee. It’s also a fab meeting point for a swim with the girls!!! It’s always such a hive of activity & will be sorely missed!!!

Part of the all year round beach community, providing a safe haven for solo beach users as well as families and couples. It looks good, feels right and has a lot to offer in respect of catering facilities and the best views whilst you're enjoying a meal. SOBO captures the spirit of Southboune and is as laid back as anything they can offer in Devon, Cornwall or other seaside locations in Dorset.

I live right next to sobo and all throughout the year I go and it’s such a welcoming place to be there’s always a good vibe and atmosphere there’s been many situations where it’s just great to be weather stopping for a drink and a snack on a walk or grabbing an ice cream on a hot day or just going for drinks it’s amazing and makes me feel safe as if I ever feel uncomfortable at the beach I know I can always go there please help us save sobo

It is such a wonderful part of BCP! Due to anxiety around the crime rate in this area, I very rarely enjoy or feel safe when I am out, but I discovered Sobo Beach a few months back and had a fantastic time! You can see how much the community values it, and it would be a complete shame to see it go!!! Please do not let us lose this place; in times of such uncertainty, we need to hold onto our gems!
