  • There is a huge sense of community here. It brings together people who might not otherwise meet and it has been recognised in the national press as being a gem. We love it. Our friends who we take there love it. It would be a huge loss to the community.

  • I hold my weekly sketch book classes here. Sobo has literally supported my small business and helped me to grow. We now have such a strong community of artists who all meet at Sobo once a week to draw. And it has been a huge mental Health support to many who come. From a personal front, my family and I have been coming to Sobo for years and we often surf/ body board just outside and come in for a coffee and hot chocolate straight from the water in our wetsuits - Sobo welcomes all and we love it.

  • I don’t live in the area, but I have visited and I think it’s a great place, the staff are super friendly and so are the other Visitors. I have written to the local Counciler’s Millie Earl being one of them, who implied that the tender process has been followed correctly and another vendor has been awarded the contract. I’m not sure if this is actually the case as when I questioned her about it she sent the same email back again. 🤣 Fingers crossed.
