  • Most weeks we take the drive from Verwood down to SOBO beach. It feels more of a ‘locals’ beach where you can meet friends, join in with activities or simply sit alone with a coffee enjoying the view. The beach is already beautiful, SOBO beach is the icing on the cake.

  • SoBo beach is a real asset to the community. I use it all the time to meet friends. I take all my visitors there and they love it. The staff are wonderful and it’s become a real community hub. After the council knocked the old facility and we were left with nothing to replace it, it’s been fantastic how SoBo beach took on the challenge and built such a wonderful asset for the community & has put the area on the map with excellent reviews in the Sunday papers. We locals deserve to be heard.

  • My children and I love it here, we go all the time through summer and winter. It has the most amazing community feel and always have events to bring people together. We will be so sad if it goes. I know it brings joy to so many people. I've never seen it quiet there so brings so much to the economy for Southbourne and the people who go feel part of something special.

  • It’s a great community meeting point, used for sports groups for socialising after swimming etc. we meet friends there regularly for dog walks. It has a very local non corporate feeling, very down to earth. It’s a unique atmosphere the team have created and won’t be the same with a bland replacement

  • This is a lovely, quirky place to stop for a coffee or drink, snack or more in that area of Southbourne beach. It is a fine example of an outlet that serves the community and BCP should preserve it instead of building yet another homogenized, soulless corporate structure. Keep it open. It's the only community outlet in that whole street of beach.
