Sobo beach is a fantastic venue. Really important for bringing people to the area. Ideal for locals to stop for a coffee during their beach walk and totally suited to the beach front. I think it would be hard to beat this set up and so sad if the site was empty again

SOBO is so much more than a Cafe / Restaurant/ Bar . SOBO is exactly what that area needs! Look how they same owners have turned a failing Restaurant/ Bar (Urban Reef) into almost a success within weeks of taking control. Sobo needs a business that that knows and looks after the community 365 days a year not just the busy summer months. SOBO does not need a permanent concrete structure just issue a lease to the current lease holders who I understand are happy to invest for the future ehi

Community / cool design / down to earth not expensive not pretentious - not only focussed on profit and return. Please don’t allow another Rockwater … it’s too commercial and not community enough …. SOBO is unique and brilliant for the real people of the area. Love it

A great community has evolved through Sobo Beach, which is active all year around. I have made many great friends within this community and I'm part of a large group that meet weekly at Soho Beach Cafe. It would be a real shame to lose this beautiful location.

My family & I will often walk along here, stop for a refreshment, or meet friends. We like to use the beach in front as a great place to locate ourselves in summer, Sobo gives out such a great atmosphere & I like knowing my teens have somewhere safe to go to the loo or get food/drinks. Such a great community. If it ain’t broke…don’t fix it. The council should care less about how much is lining their pocket & doing more for the community that use the facilities in the first place!
