I stay with my sister and family who live in SoBo, regularly. I take my 9yr old niece there, the dog, I have introduced friends to the area. I visit SoBo beach for the Sunday Sessions and to soak up the atmosphere and music throughout the weekend. It is more than just a beach, it’s a place to socialise

SOBO is more than a venue. It's a community and a much loved place by so many. The council should be protecting places that bring communities together not putting financial considerations above the wellbeing and needs of the local people.

I have so many memories at sobo beach. It really is an amazing place and we don’t have anything like it in Dorset. It means so much to people. You can’t get rid of it.

Being by the sea and having fun with friends, dancing - it’s the only time I ever feel like I’m on holiday in this area and I think we all deserve to feel the holiday vibe even on a ordinary Friday !

It’s a totally unique venue which has offered residents and visitors a warm, vibrant focus and a centre for a wide variety of activities. It’s also been run with huge respect for local residents in terms of noise, and liaising with us.

I visit Sobo every week, whether as part of my dog walk, drinks and dancing with friends or with my teenage kids who love a SOBO hot chocolate! Sobo is the cherry on top to a trip to the beach.

It's our regular dog walk, we go to events and we keep coming back because the vibes and community spirit is just awesome. We rave about it to all our friends and family who live further away and also take them there. It's the best thing about southbourne beach. It gives bondi beach vibes and is just lush. If it went we would be super upset

There is no place like it. Its a relaxed, family, young people’s beautiful place offering great food and drinks all year round and has craft days and other activities which brings people together ans not just for alcohol! Its a great looking place and always has a comfortable friendly vibe

Sobo Beach has a great community, and I love working here. My family and I often take our friends here because it is such a unique place, and they always love it. It would be incredibly unfair for Sobo Beach to lose the wonderful atmosphere the staff and customers have worked towards these past years.
