  • We visit all year round and bring friends too. It's a safe, family friendly environment and one rare place where I can give our autistic daughter some freedom to meet friends. I love going down and bumping into people I know and stopping to share a drink and a chat. Sobo beach is a good equaliser. You don't have to sit down and have an expensive meal and all ages can afford something . They run lots of cool community events too and care about the environment.

  • SOBO Beach is fantastic for local residents and I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t absolutely love it. It’s the first place we take any friends who are down to stay for the weekend and it has thrived over the years through its range of community activities. We would be so sad to see it go and it would be ludicrous to have the site sitting empty for 6 months while planning is arranged for a facility it seems very few people actually want.
