Great place to meet up with friends for coffee

it’s more than a business, it’s a social enterprise, they put the vibrancy and the community of the area first. Where is a new operator who is paying higher fees/rent may not be able to fulfil that remit? It will be in a community source

I walk my dog on a daily basis, & go in to Sobo for a coffee & a doggie donut, the staff are very friendly

A lovely calm place to visit solo or with family all welcome , why destroy all that’s perfect?? Utter madness

Love the area and don’t see why a successful team should be punished or threatened for building a successful business and great venue.

It's a great venue and brings money and fun times to Southbourne beach to people of all backgrounds. Other operators simply will never be anywhere near as good value to local people or visitors.

The family and I meet up regularly there with the dog along with friends

I’m local to SOBO and feel they have worked hard to create a community for the people of Southbourne and nearby. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and there is literally something for everyone. I’m close to considering retirement and I was feeling that there would be so much available there for me and new friendships to be made - I would be so disappointed if this is to be taken away.

Its where we now chose to go, its made this area of the beach the most well rounded family attraction, food, music, vibe.

We should be supporting hospitality venues . They invest their money to provide a place for communities to engage and socialise.

It’s a beautiful, casual, welcoming safe space for all, including dogs. A space where we can be free to be ourselves. I visit weekly with my little furry friend. Any time someone visits me I’m sure to take them to Sobo. It elevates Southbourne m.

Its a hugely popular place for local people to relax and enjoy the beach vibe away from the all the tourists trashing the beach at Bournemouth pier.

It's such a draw for locals as it's quieter than the main beach but SoBo provides everything you could need - Great toilet facilities, great food, great vibes. I cannot imagine anything more perfect for the location and would be massively put off from heading that way if it was replaced as a Bournemouth local. There's such a positive community feel there - I had a morning after party on the beach in front of SoBo the day after my wedding and being able to easily cater to everyone was brilliant.

As a first time mum it's where I go to meet other mums. I also visit regularly with my family for the best ice cream!

Absolutely perfect for families, always got a great atmosphere. So good for new mums and parents to meet up, with flexible seating, sand to play in, takeaway drinks, nearby toilets, it ticks so many boxes for busy parents who are supporting each other

Have visited numerous times with a friend who is local and it's an amazing place

I use this space with my family all year round. We use all facilities including the holiday clubs for the children. There’s quite literally nothing quite like it which is what makes it so special. The community have really got behind this. Please don’t let this become just another bar/ restaurant. I have met people who have come here from afar as word has traveled due to its one of a kind value.

When I visit Boscombe I always walk down to Sobo beach. It’s a great place to connect with people and hang out. The Sunday Sessions are legendary. Don’t let this important venue fall away.
