We found SoBo Beach a few years ago completely accidentally when down on holiday and fell in love with the place then. Now finding out what SoBo does for the community makes us love it even more and the council should too. To lose such a community minded and community led group of people would be a shameful act by the council. The council can’t afford to fund all the good projects SoBo do, you should be working with them not against them. SOBO Beach deserves to stay, please let them.

I lived in Dorset for 10 years but moved away 30 years ago. My parents live in Dorset and I regularly visit them. My dad lives in Southbourne and gets lonely as he lives on his own but enjoys seeing different people when he walks to the beach. I have visited Sobo beach many times with friends and family. I love that there is something for everyone. Everyone is made to feel welcome no matter your age. It was lovely to youngsters enjoying themselves but mixed in with families and older people.

It is a unique, inclusive and vibrant meeting place which gives our stretch of beach heart and personality. It makes no sense to close it especially since no new business will be ready to take it's place for many months. Let's not have more shuttered businesses in the area
