I’m absolutely gutted to hear the news that SOBO might be going. SOBO has been an integral part of the local area for years. It provides a much-needed meeting point for friends and families and attracts tourists from afar. We visit all year round to eat, drink and spend time as a family. The relaxed atmosphere, non-corporate vibes and tasty food and drink makes it a favourite spot for so many people. There are already too many chains along our beach - we need to protect small businesses.

I love the rustic authenticity. Such a welcoming vibe. So many places on the beaches these days are soulless and ridiculously expensive. There is a NEED and room for both.

Sobo is a great venue for all-day fun at the beach. We’ve been there for birthday breakfasts, afternoon snacks and sundowners; it’s just a great spot with chilled local vibes. It would be a real loss to the community for the lease to expire. I worry as a local resident supporting a local business that it would replaced with some of the corporate horror of other parts of the bay. We want Sobo, not Toby Carvery, Harvester or Wetherspoons trash.

I meet friends here regularly. It has a really great relaxed and unique vibe, transports you abroad. I’ve attended many music functions too. It is affordable and unpretentious and should be kept for the benefit of the people.

It's a place I can go on my own, with family or friends and feel relaxed at all year around. No judgement, a really friendly, accepting community feel...well done to the current owners for creating such an inclusive space. Much needed to support mental health and wellbeing.

The beach club on a Sunday with djs on bank holiday are beautiful! And are a great part of the community! Also going for a walk and going for a coffee and catch up with friends is always at sobo!!!

I visit it regularly and it is such a great place. There is a real community spirit here. I have also taken part in the sleep out charity event which they hosted. It would be a great loss to the beach and Bournemouth if it were to close.
