Great place to meet local people

This venue is an amazing social place for people of all ages. When struggling with mental health it puts a smile on faces, allows people to talk to others when they may never have the chance. It is so much more. It would be a crime not to keep this wonderful venue open .

SOBO is part of my weekend routine, as I run along the beach most weekends and almost always bump into someone I know there. It has a genuine sense of community that makes it so special, and it’s so much more than just a beach venue.

Sobo beach has transformed our beach bringing life, joy and pleasure to our beach. We have a beach hut along the prom and often in Sobo beach.

Very well run establishment with a unique ambiance which is unlikely to be replicated by a new lessee. This will most likely lead to failure of a new business and a lower overall net income stream from rental income to BCP Council in the longer term.

I swim here most days, meet friends and meet in the early evening for a drink at the weekend. It’s a big part of feeling connected to the local community, we recently met people who were here for the weekend and became good friends by chance

It’s a great asset to the area for many reasons. It was the one of reason the Daily Telegraph nominated Southbourne an up and coming area. On a sunny evening it’s the best venue in Dorset

Fantastic venue. Great atmosphere. Safe, friendly place that is used year round by the whole community and visitors to the area. Sobo has added to the area by providing entertainment, good food & drink reasonably priced in a friendly relaxed way. Can't imagine Sobo not being there. A lot of people would miss it!!

We have visited the beach almost every day for 40 years on our own and with family & seen businesses come & go. SoBo Beach is the perfect place to stop for a hot drink & snack in the winter, something cooler in the summer. The food is great quality & reasonably priced too, a perfect pit stop after playing on the beach. It is special because it is unique , fun and welcoming to all. Please don’t spoil something that works so well and contributes so much to this area.

Sobo Beach is a place I visit most days. Either a morning or afternoon coffee, a refreshing beer late afternoon. I sea dip Saturday and Sunday mornings all year round so it's our go to for a coffee afterwards. We love the people, the vibe, the locals, the newbies and the community spirit. The staff are amazing too! We love it just the way it is.
