To be able to go and get a drink, snack or shelter from the weather is so important to locals and tourists on this long stretch of beach. There is nowhere else on the seafront from Hengistbury to Fishermans.

It such a good community space, skillet discos and Sunday sessions to yoga and beach clean ups. Why would you want to change it up, they have it spot on there.

Sobo beach has been such a great addition to Southbourne. I have a group of friends who live in Southbourne and it becomes our meeting place when I come down. It’s always busy, people love the place including me. Save this place!

Its unique vibe, its quirky set up, the bringing together of people, the very fact it is not a swanky restaurant. Losing it would be another sign of greed in a world being destroyed by greed.

It’s big part of my community. SOBO Beach currently serves as a vital meeting ground for local sea swimmers, dog walkers, veterans' support networks, and mental health groups.

Love the energy it brings all year - feels like a wonderful apres-ski place in winter, then like being abroad on a beach holiday in summer. Children LOVE it too with the bus. It’s quirky and brilliant. Please don’t get rid of it.
