We hang out on this stretch of beach with friends, my 6 year old son has grown up exploring Southbourne beach and visiting Sobo. It has an awesome vibe and looks great positioned where it is. A huge improvement on the rest of the chain restaurants and bars you see all the way down the beach to Poole! Southbourne beach will truly not be the same without Sobo Beach!

Sobo Beach matters to me because it's what makes Southbourne feel like a community rather than just a postcode. It has a welcoming, local vibe, and it's become a hub for small businesses that bring something real to the seafront. Beach Pilates is a personal favourite, and it only works because independent operators and Sobo have been able to collaborate. Just as important, its prices aren’t overpriced like rock water. It’s where I go for coffee when I walk my dog, it’s where I take friends who come to visit. You can eat, drink, and even dance on Sundays.

Its a community based event, BCP are turning the town into the ground, taking all the nice areas away from the community! Its a place on the beach for all ages, children, dogs, family day out. Its one of the only places left on the beach with soul and substance.

It is a fantastic place for families, friends to gather. It has a great atmosphere and the Evers they run are well attended. It is also extremely well managed on all occasions. Fantastic setting for all. So, why change something that is not broken. Local people and visitors love it here!!!!

It's a great community meeting place for people with all sorts of interests. I do crafting, sea swimming and family meals there. Children of friends have had their first job there. It has to continue.

It’s a fantastic facility for both myself and my daughter, family and friends bringing people together. We love grabbing food and drink here and it’s always so clean. Having access to clean toilets too is ideal!

One of the few cafe/bars very local to me. Visit often after swim, dog walk, meet with friends, Sunday sessions or just because. Chilled vibe, great coffee and menu. Always friendly and respectful and attracts families young and old. Does not need another corporate that will ruin the atmosphere and community vibe. Don’t be greedy BCP, don’t break what doesn’t need fixing, leave it as it is!
