I love it in the summer when you see families enjoying it, Jazz Juice is amazing here and there nothing better on a dog walk when it is raining to stop and have a hot chocolate - it’s really a part of the community and is never empty.

We live at the top of the zigzag and use Sobo beach most days. Either after a dog walk for a coffee or at the weekend to socialise.

Great place to drink and relax at the beach for all the family . Why shut something that is so popular. It’s crazy. Change your mind and listen to the community.

No other beach venue embraces the community like Sobo, and that is why it NEEDS to continue. If every beach venue took a leaf out of Sobo’s ethos, our beach front would be the best in UK. How can there be another agenda but the good Sobo is doing and what the community will lose.

Because we've had the best times there with friends and family every week. Its our go to place. Why take that away from us when its so loved? Kim Slater et al knows exactly how to make something truly for a community rather than some faceless organisation. Why don't BCP just get real for once instead of trying to screw up yet another perfect public space. To say we are bitter about this is a massive understatement

The heart of a community. Do not rip it out. We are peaceful in our petition, but stand together. Ignore the voices and we’ll be louder!

I’m a regular coffee drinker at SOBO Beach, meeting friends, enjoying sunny summer days and crisp winter afternoons there. It’s been a pioneer for the beach and deserves to stay!

I grew up in Southbourne - this is such an amazing community addition. We always head to sobo beach for coffees after a walk or a pint in the summer evenings. It’s an amazing space

I grew up in the area and still visit every chance I can. It is a fun vibrant community for all the family and has made such a difference to the area. It is such an improvement from the old bistro on the beach.

It is a fantastic venue and community hub. Our swim group meets here twice a week. We go here for dinners out. It is lovely in summer. We have had guests who come down from other parts of the country and abroad who love it. Why would BCP close it and leave it vacant? It doesn’t make sense financially or for the community that BCP purports to serve.

Its a local place where everyone father's. There are not enough seafront venues around where you can have fun, meet people and socialise which is massively important in today's worrying times

When I was thinking of moving down here from Hull, I walked along the beach from Bournemouth to Southbourne. I sat outside Sobo and had a coffee. It was 8.30am. I loved the vibe of the place and decided this was where I had to live. I didn’t even wander into the high street. A month later I moved to Southbourne. It still makes me smile when I visit it or run past.

I use this place to walk my dog and grab a coffee in the morning. It’s a lovely atmosphere and would be a shame to the community in southbourne for this to be gone
