A real local asset with a fantastic community feel the whole year round. It would be so shortsighted not to preserve a venue which is totally right for the beach in that non tourist location.

My parents live in southbourne and when I come to visit from London we spend most of our time in sobo!! My puppy loves it, the nights out are fabulous, and even in winter it’s a great place to grab a morning coffee on a cold but sunny day

I moved here 2 years ago and SOBO beach is one of my favourite places. One I love to share with visiting friends and family. And we love the Sunday Sessions. In such a short space of time, it’s become an institution and it would be too sad for it to disappear.

Everything! I take my kids down throughout the year, rain or shine I walk down meet family and friends Christmas Day is awesome in the morning I feel so safe I have never seen trouble or police down there it’s just a happy place please don’t change what isn’t broken

BCP have failed to award the lease (to SOBO or other bidders) according to the original offer. To withdraw from SOBO now would be inappropriate. A new full offer and bid with public scrutiny should be run and SOBO lease extended until the process is complete.

I live so close this place is a community sanctuary for us women that need time together swimming celebrating or just being, I dance here with my husband and sit alone with my dog enjoying a coffee and feeling welcome. Taking this wonderful place away would be a very sad day
