I love the place and look forward to going at least 6 times a year. It’d be a massive loss if it were to go

I cycle, swim and have coffee almost daily since retirement. In nearly 50 years in the area this cafe has been the best thing to happen to the beachfront…literally put the area on the national map against a backdrop of endless negative publicity Bournemouth gets…Often following appalling council decisions. To even consider destroying the facility is madness.

Because it brings the community together for both adults & children

SOBO Beach is much more than just a beach venue. It is an important part of our local community, bringing people together and supporting wellbeing, social connections and local activities. Losing such a valuable space would be a real loss for Bournemouth and Southbourne. I strongly believe BCP Council should listen to local residents and explore every possible option to protect SOBO Beach before making a final decision. Community spaces like this should be preserved, not lost.

Because it works as it is and doesn't need to be improved or commercialised

The best venue in Southbourne. Very accessible for an ages plus affordable. Brings the community together. You can go straight from the beach comfortably in beach wear. Everyone in Southbourne absolutely loves it. We love the food the drinks the music and feel very passionately about keeping it as it is.

It’s a great business that adds so much value to Southbourne. BCP needs to support businesses in our area.

I walk most along the beach most days and always stop for a coffee and meet up with friends. It would be such a loss to the community to lose this popular venue.

It's one of the few, if not the only, community focused business on the entire seafront

Easy slip to if and the people help us all the time it’s a family for all of us they provide so much and so many offers to the veterans and discounts on breakfasts and coffee I don’t know anywhere else that care as much as they do we need them they’ve provides the veterans all ages and walks of life and all their problem are helped by having this venue set aside for our group to chat swim laugh and without it we will have no where to go the council won’t help to keep this open

I walk my dog there every week with a friend and have done since it opened. I have eaten, drank , and danced there! The best place on the promenade.

I use the beach a lot during the winter months, washing my dogs - it's great to have somewhere to meet up with friends for coffee, brunch or whatever. The venue is a hub for the community and is run very much with the community in mind. Other sites along the coast are aimed at a very different market. It would be a tragedy of this has to close.

A unique fun place to go with my family and friends. And Oscar the dog loves it too.

I do my usual walk and stop at SOBO for a coffee. I meet friends there too. It is a great meeting place and community hub. They have all worked so hard to get it to where it is today. A great place, please no changes as it is perfect as it is.

I walk my dog often at Hengistbury Head and from Boscombe and will walk down to Sobo. It’s a great place for eats, drinks and socials. Be gutted to lose Sobo.
