Frequent the beach to meet up with friends and love popping into SOBO for a drink or snack whilst catching up. Visiting SOBO beach has been a regular stop, for coffee or a pint when walking along from boscombe getting the steps in.

It’s genuinely the most homing place on the south coast! I’ve lived here for 30 years and it’s been the best thing to happen to southbourne beach! It’s a massive hub to our local community and place to feel safe! All the staff and people I’ve met here have been super ace with amazing back stories. without SOBO I wouldn’t have had the chance to meet as many amazing people as have! SOBO NEED TO SAFE FOR OUR COMMUNITY!!!

I run the kids artworkshops throughout the year in the bus. It brings kids together to be creative get them off their phones and enjoy being themselves in a safe and healthy environment.

This place is amazing in so many ways for the community feel for the classes for the supporting veterans supporting all sorts of different charities for bringing all different generations together and for being a year-round venue for people to cover or two just chill weather in company or alone, it is a safe space and it is so highly regarded by every single local person to Southbourne and afar and this is an absolute tragedy and it just it would be a travesty to lose such a special place

It’s a lunch time pint, it’s a Sunday afternoon session, it’s a winter coffee, it’s where we come to watch the world go by, it’s where my wife and I watch the seasons go by. Sobo beach captures everything, I love watching the visitors enjoying themselves, even if as a local it means I can’t get a seat. At all costs we must keep it as it is, we don’t need another Rockwater version in Southbourne, that’s not who we are.

It’s a place for all ages, for all year round. It is ridiculous gut BCO to even think about letting it go - however they do not seem to bother about anything along the seafront - beach hut owners pay a lot of money for absolutely no services in return - at least leave us the best facility in the area to enjoy!

I visit year round for swimming, exercise, food, drink. I love the laid back beach vibe and appreciate it not being over engineered/concrete building. I want to feel like I’m on the beach!

As a Southbourne resident, I love having SOBO Beach on our doorstep. We often stop there while walking our dog, whether for a coffee, something to eat or simply to enjoy the atmosphere. The fact that it's open all year round is especially important to us locals, who enjoy our beautiful coastline in every season. SOBO is so much more than a café – it's a welcoming community hub that brings people together and adds something really special to Southbourne.
