  • Sobo Beach is a fantastic community hub and asset that is entirely unique to Southbourne. It echoes the laid back beach vibe of the surrounding area perfectly. I regularly walk there with my family, paddle board there with friends, and am saddened at the council’s decision to ultimately destroy this thriving community.

  • Sobo is the hub of the community. It brings people together, old and young, to enjoy the wonderful beach front. It gets people outside, active and meeting new people. I personally swim in the sea most days, trained for a triathlon and joined a run club while having sobo has the centre for a coffee and a chat afterwards.

  • SOBO i an incredible community hub providing much needed base for residents activities, wellbeing and leisure. We use the cafe all the time when we sea swim/party/dog walk and it's been built up with careful consideration from its current owners and management team to the the brilliant place it is today. It would be heartbreaking to see the site sitting empty for a prolonged period of time while planning permission is sought or to have a weak alternative that won't serve the public as we deserve
